At the Ramada Hotel Dover we recognize the impact of our business on the environment and are committed to conducting our business in a way that ensures environmental sustainability.
We are members of Wyndham Green which is operated by the Wyndham Hotel Group. The Wyndham Green program aims to reduce the Hotel’s carbon footprint by monitoring the use of water, electricity and the amount of waste materials produced.

We are undertaking the following actions to responsibly lessen our impact on the environment wherever we sensibly can.
We will think about the environment in our everyday decision making at management meetings and with our staff at Head of Department meetings.
The recycling of paper, cardboard, plastic, tins, light bulbs, batteries and used waste oil is in place. Our food wastage is kept to a minimum by careful monitoring and ordering.
We are operating a ‘switch off’ policy for office staff to turn off computer equipment and printers when not in use.
We have reduced our usage of harmful cleaning chemicals (chlorine free) and are using more eco friendly products.
We will encourage our guests, by providing the relevant information, to explore the local attractions by public transport, bicycle or on foot. Cycle routes and cycle hire information and bus timetable are all available in the Hotel.
We will continue to:
◾Use low energy light bulbs in all areas.
◾Use electronic mail to reduce the use of paper.
◾Encourage staff and guests to turn off unnecessary lights.
Our policy is to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay. Sheets will be changed on every second day for a long stay guest and we ask guests to consider if towels can be re-used. If a guest requires clean towels they are asked to place the used ones in the shower.
